We are talking about crochet needles here.

I like to craft and am generally pretty good at it. I started crocheting about 2 years ago, basically self taught. My grandma had taught me a stitch or two when I was school age, but I didn't really remember how at all. So, I am no expert by any means, but I can rock out some baby blankets!

So, last year, I really wanted to crochet Christmas stockings. I tried a cable knit pattern and just gave up...I am TERRIBLE at counting stitches, and that is crucial to patterns that vary row by row.

I decided to give it another go this year. I kept seeing this pattern by PrettyDarnAdorable on Etsy pop up on Pinterest, so I finally gave in and paid for my very first pattern.

And I kind of failed. It started off okay, but I didn't quite have the right size hooks, and didn't count my stitches....was just going to eyeball it... and it didn't work!

However, I didn't give up this time! and I am soooo glad I didn't!

Check out my giant FAIL! and see how adorable the "good" ones turned out to be!

Such a amazing stuff they had made with the help of just crochet needle and wool thread. A little bit of creativeness had been added to make such a beautiful stuff.

Congratulations! Never give up on things that you really want to do. I am glad that you didn't give up, look at the Christmas stocking that you made. It turns out pretty good. Maybe the lesson here is before you do the thing you want to achieve. Always make sure that you have the right size hook that is going to make your Christmas stockings great and of course count the stitches because that is also important.

Congratulations! Never give up on things that you want to do. The lesson here is that if you truly want to do something just do it. I actually tried doing this Christmas stockings before, but I guess I already failed in five times so maybe it is really the time to give up on doing it. First time is invariably not the time wherein we are going to achieve the thing that we really want to. So I guess you already learned the lesson that before crocheting make sure that you have the right size hook of the item that you want to make. Just keep on doing the thing that you love because in that way you are going to be satisfied.
